Comments about RadioShack 25-Ft. XLR-to-XLR Microphone Cable:

I have had 5 of these cables for 2 years, they have been used in studio and in a live setup for local hardcore and metal bands. The torture these cables have been through being ripped out of the mixer at shows, ripped off of mics by vocalists, and stepped on, rolled on by half stacks, and they still work. after 2 years of heavy abuse, 2 cables went down. One of the 2 has a break in the wire but still works, i just doubled it over and taped it, the other one had the female end broken where the screw holds on to the connector, but it will still work if I re-solder it. no biggie. These cables grip very well on mics with no crackle or pops, and are very durable. the only downside is that they are rather stiff. They work great in my studio and live. I definitely recommend these cables.

Comments about RadioShack 25-Ft. XLR-to-XLR Microphone Cable:

First, the previous rater mentioned the cable wasn't any good, as it caused feedback. Huh? Cables don't cause feedback, microphones do! Initially, I was swayed by his comment, then it dawned on me that a mic cable won't cause feedback - it's always a poorly utilized mic, or the wrong mic for the task, which causes feedack.

I'm in the process of rearranging a small home studio and needed a couple of new cables to connect a Neumann mic and the direct out from a Rivera guitar amp. After getting the cables hooked up and the DAW configured, it was time for a test. The cables work well. They're not Mogami or Monster and you won't find Neutrik connectors on the ends of the cables, but for the price these cables fit the task and work fine. If you need a 25' XLR to XLR cable and don't want to drive to your nearest guitar store, drive to Radio Shack and pick these up. They work very well.
