Comments about RadioShack 9-Position Male Crimp D-Sub Connector: The part itself is excellent quality. I did have to ding it one star, though, because the RS "search engine" couldn't find it when asked for "DB9". (Yeah, I know, technically it's a DE9, but almost nobody uses that nomenclature.) This part certainly holds its own when compared to the same part from other sources, and is better than some. However, as with all of these I do recommend soldering the pin on if possible. BTW, I have over 40 years of electronics experience.
