Best Uses Comments about RadioShack® 6-Ft. RG-58 Coax Extension Cable with UHF plug: WASTE OF TIME
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about RadioShack® 6-Ft. RG-58 Coax Extension Cable with UHF plug: I bought a Radio Shack Extreme Range AM/FM/Weather Radio with the intention of adding an external antenna. I listen to Glenn Beck on the Cleveland 50,000 watt station WTAM, but they pre-empt his show and go to sports talk occassionally so the next closest station is a 5,000 watt station in Columbus. When I tuned it in as usual with my other radios I got about 95% static and 5% voice. Without even hooking up the connecting wire and just putting the AN 200 Antenna Loop next to the radio I tuned in the antenna's dial to the Columbus station and almost all of the static disappeared and the voice level and clarity sounded like the distant 5,000 watt station was only a mile away. If I didn't hear the results with my own ears I wouldn't have believed it. I'm tempted to take the antenna apart to see exactly what is going on inside of it. I was going to buy a C.Crane radio just because of its reputation for AM reception, but forget that. This was the single best piece of radio equipment I ever bought. Just remember, don't turn the antenna's dial to "10" and expect the best results just because it's on "10". You have to turn the dial until you find the sweet spot for any particular station.
