Reliable product

By transcriptionist

from Albuquerque, NM

Pros

  • Compact To Take Anywhere
  • Reliable

Cons

  • No Plug Included

Best Uses

  • Transcribing Minutes

Comments about RadioShack Cassette Recorder:

I purchased this cassette player solely for transcribing minutes. So far it's doing a good job. The only setback is that a DC adapter is not included. I need plenty of batteries to keep it going.

    Comments about RadioShack Cassette Recorder:

I BOUGHT THIS AS A GIFT FOR MY MOM WHO IS IN HER 70s AND REFUSES TO GET WITH THE TIMES AND BUY SOMETHING MORE TECHNOLOGICALLY ADVANCED. SHE'S NOT HARD TO PLEASE WHEN IT COMES TO BUYING CASSETTE RECORDERS, BUT SHE WASN'T PLEASED AT ALL WITH THIS ONE. WASTE OF MY MONEY.

          Comments about RadioShack Cassette Recorder:

This was supposed to be used for dictating letters and memos. Sometimes it runs and sometimes it doesn't. Going to try and find something other than RadioShack which, I noticed, didn't have great reviews but finding full size tape recorders is difficult.

          Comments about RadioShack Cassette Recorder:

From day one, the sound fades when recording. Almost like the motor is weak. Multiple new batteries used and same problem. I have used the same brand of recorder for about 30 years and if I get 6 months out of one I am happy. I dictate and record conversations for insurance interviews. Use the recorders about 2 hours a day. I just don't like it when I take one out of the package and it doesn't work right.

            Comments about RadioShack Cassette Recorder:

Have used this product for phone and field interviews for an estimated 15 years. First recorder lasted eight years, and have had second for the last seven years. You get what you pay for, and for the modest price paid, this has been one of the best pieces of work equipment I have ever owned. As a private investigator, I have done hundreds of interviews with this recorder.

                Comments about RadioShack Cassette Recorder:

This is far inferior to a similar recorder that radio shack used to make. What were they thinking? What planet of the apes did they find to build it? The thing won't record and is lightweight. I'm about to return a second one of these to the dealer...the first one I had for only a few months and this one broke down after only one use.
