The Telephone spade lugs have been extremely helpful in restoring telephone line and handset cords on hard wired telephones. I use them all the time and wish they were available in larger packages. I have used them to repair touch tone dial wires... Rotary dial wires... I have, in the past actually used them in the telephone central office for special circuit applications... [...]... I have recomended them to several people and find them hard to find right now...

I have been using/buying these from Radio Shack for years.

They allow for a much more professional job than just wrapping bare wire around screws.

They are great for making clean and secure connections in the telco box (the gray plastic box outside of your house, where the phone companies wire connects to your house wiring)

They are also great for phone jacks throughout the house.

It would be great if Radio Shack also sold these in larger quantites.

This item makes it alot easier to install baseboard phone jacks. Using the spades on the four (RJ-14) or six (RJ-25) screw terminals inside the jack housing is alot easier than trying to loop bare wire around the terminals.

These spade lugs are a very close match to original telephone company spade lugs. They are easy to install with a Radio Shack crimper and make a very good electrical connection.
