I picked this up at a local RS to feed RG6/U coax from a discone antenna into an imported EzTV668 USB dongle for RTL-SDR. Simple and reliable, makes a snug connection.

Brought over a European flat-screen TV that plays both NTSC and PAL input. I was surprised to discover the European Antenna connector is a female receptacle. This part does bridge the co-ax cable wire to make the female plug. Precision made. That fits like a glove. You should know however that the cable company will have frequencies like 78.1... 101.1 for the channels. Only the latest TVs have those kind of tuners to bring in a compressed signal. Ours did not. So, I bought an HD interior antenna and our local broadcast stations have frequencies in whole numbers, eg 79, 102.

The European TV adapter worked for us for OTA broadcast. A modern DVR with a tuner might bring in the compressed cable signals ( a recorder costs from $200-$300). We may try that sometime, but for now, we are enjoying the local broadcasts with very good picture when the antenna is orientated correctly, and the skies are clear. Note our TV was HD-Ready, and not the latest and greatest.

I live near a major Army base and I thought for sure the PX would have these adapters. Oddly enough Radio Shack had them and the PX did, no other elctronics store I went to had them.
