There are plenty of other applications that only need two conductors, and this JACK is ideal in those applications. Addressing one reviewer's complaint about twisted and shorted wires, this JACK doesn't contain an anti-rotation feature. But that's not a problem! Rotation won't occur if the JACK is installed properly. Apparently, that frustrated reviewer didn't hold the JACK with needlenose pliers during installation while rotating the knurled NUT. To avoid any risk of twisted wires in most applications, the JACK can be installed before connecting and soldering the wires. You can choose this JACK with confidence that it is a perfectly suitable item for its intended use. I'm grateful for the convenience and availability of this product!
