I was not sure if the center pin should click into the connector or just sit up against the center pin. Needs detailed instructions on how to trim cable. I have used solder connector and solder less connectors in the past with little problem. I would not purchase this product again. Basically, cleave the coaxial cable flush. Then, push the connector onto the coax - there's a pin that will contact the central core. Finally, tighten the set screw, which will penetrate the outer sheath and contact the braided shielding. I haven't had any problems with the connector coming loose or falling off, or necountered signal distortion using these (measured at 1 GHz bandwidth).
