Product Summary

Go for the gold

With gold caps, terminators plug into and cover unused 75-ohm outputs. Because Terminating Resistors eliminate ghost images, they cap and cover unterminated 75-ohm outputs on signal or distribution amps or splitters.

  • Helps prevent signal loss caused by unterminated outputs Improves signal termination

Comments about RadioShack Gold-Plated Terminating Resistors:

It's just like changing or adding oil to your vehicle and forgetting to put the oil cap back on. Unterminated RF sources like cable outlets or cable converter boxes when you opt for HDMI connections, etc. are potential sources of RF interference either to cable equipment from other RF sources or, potentially, to other RF sensitive equipment from the unterminated cable signal. Bottom line, terminate it!

Comments about RadioShack Gold-Plated Terminating Resistors:

This is a little-known must-haves if one has more antenna wall-sockets than there are TVs, or free sockets on splitters. One should always put these "dummy loads" to all free (unconnected) wall-sockets and splitter-sockets, otherwise there is reflection and interference.
