This is speaker cable with one RCA end.
NOT an unshielded RCA cable.
It works very well on older RCA type speakers,

I have an old Altec Lansing sub that the center speaker for finally died. I don't have a receiver (the sub has RCA outputs for all 5 channels).

This worked perfectly and instantly to connect the RCA output of my sub to the speaker wiring on the Polk speaker.

For fellow newbies, it DOES have an indicator for positive vs. negative, the half of the cable with a white line is positive (not obvious to me at first).

Installed a new 5.1 sound system with existing speakers and needed a pre-made compatible RCA to wire cordset. These worked perfectly except I wished they were offered in other lengths. This is the only 16 AWG arrangement that I could find (16 AWG is recommended for 100 amp amplifiers) as I needed a little longer cable for one of the rear surround speakers and I wanted all of the cabling to look alike...so I spliced a length of cable cut from the center channel to suit.

I bought two of these to repair speakers that I use with a stereo system that only has RCA outputs. I soldered each cable to a speaker, and it sounds better than it did from the factory!
