Comments about RadioShack 4-Inch Mono Y-Adapter: I have tried other adapters and this product seems to be the best method when hooking up two radio communications speakers to a transceiver. Does not add a lot of stress on the original 1/8" mono jack and good in tight space installations. Using a dual speaker set up gives added spacious sound and operator experience when DXing!

Comments about RadioShack 4-Inch Mono Y-Adapter: We run a court reporting agency and use this splitter to place two microphones on conference tables. It goes into a Sony BM-87 tape recorder. On the first try the male plug wouldn't go into the recorder's female recepticle. Upon further investigation it seems Sony puts a collar on the recepticle and Radio Shack adds a thick rubber covering (with their name on it) on the male and female plugs. I took a sharp knife and trimmed about 1/8" off the rubber covering on the male plug -- WORKS FINE, LASTS A LONG TIME!
