I used this unit with Naturally Speaking. I purchased it after good reviews on the Internet. I returned it because I found the headset uncomfortable to wear. The cable is much longer than necessary and I found myself constantly stepping on it.

I have used this product for over 10 years. I am about to purchase my fourth one. The sound has been good, once you EQ it. Like most, the problem has been in the construction(or lack thereof)of the cord. However,for the price I really can't complain. One thought, change the design of the power supply to one that can be battery or phantom powered. Also, beef up the cords on this mic and you would have a sure winner!

MY FRIEND HAVE ONE MICROPHONE WITH THE SAME ITEM NUMBER (33-3012), BUT IT LOOKS SO DIFFERENT, AND SOUNDS GOOD, THEN I FOUND IT IN THE INTERNET SITE, AND THE PICTURE SHOWN IS EXACTLY LIKE MY FRIEND'S MICROPHONE... BUT WHEN I BUY IT IN THE STORE WITH THAT NUMBER ITEM, I RECEIVED ONE ITEM WITH THE SAME NUMBER, BUT SO DIFFERENT IN APPEAREANCE, QUALITY AND SPECIFICATIONS, THIS ONE IS SO UNCOMFORTABLE, ONE PIECE OF THIS, REST IN MY CHEEK AND MOVES THE MICROFONE WHEN I SPEAK, AND DO NOT SOUND, ONLY POPS NOISES...WELL, TOMORROW I TRY TO RETURN IT TO THE STORE.

I bought this mike for dictation. Radio Shack used to sell a very good quality mike with the same design under this stock number. However, this mike (manufactured in China) is not even suitable for a child's toy. The recording quality is abysmal!

Don't waste your money.

There are 2 different mics, the same model no. i like the smaller one the best but they are both very sensative and sound very real. This is the best sounding mic i have used yet. I use it every day THUMBS UP. NO COMPLAINTS

Our old mic gave aq heck of a time, with this low cost product we have no feedback it never cuts out wile working for the price this is a great set up.

I own several of these headsets and use them for speech recognition speakwrite programs and interpreter transmitters. The trick is to throw away the skinny cord (with the button battery and on-off switch) and buy a 6' or shorter mono extension cord instead. Tossing the useless add-on makes this the finest mic on the market.

The problem that the others are talking about is that the fine cable that goes into the on/off controller gets bent and starts to cut-out. The newer version that they sell in the store is much better than the older and less than half the price (these things used to be $50). If you take care not to bend the wire too much they last for awhile and for [$] its worth it. And for the reviewer that said it's too quite after several months, try changing the battery...duh!
