Comments about RadioShack Multicolor Heat-Shrink Tubing (12-Pack): I keep this in stock at all times. I've never used it for electrical use because it lacks flexability after shrinking, and that is one of it's good points. It is a low temperature, low shrink tubing at about 2:1 versus 3:1 for normal shrink. It has a slick finish as well, and that lends itself to the finished use. I recently cover some dental probe handles used for unraveling the braid on coax. Very nice in the hand when finished. It can over heat, split and melt so be warned up front. Use a hooded heat gun on LOW and don't go crazy with it.

Comments about RadioShack Multicolor Heat-Shrink Tubing (12-Pack): The plastic ear piece came off my glasses and these tubes did the trick! The best part is all it took was a bic lighter to seal the deal (pun intended)

Comments about RadioShack Multicolor Heat-Shrink Tubing (12-Pack): i have only used it wiring insulation for vintage radios and to prevent cloth cord from fraying at the ends. this heat shrink tubing serves it purpose for my needs.
Pros Cons
Best Uses Comments about RadioShack Multicolor Heat-Shrink Tubing (12-Pack): This is very poor quality heat-shrink tubing. It melts at low temperature, it tears easily, and it has a poor shrinkage ratio. This is far inferior to any other heat-shrink tubing that I've used in the past.
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about RadioShack Multicolor Heat-Shrink Tubing (12-Pack): This heat shrink tubing worked fine for me. I have never have had any problem with it splitting, melting, burning, or not shrinking. over all a great product.
Pros Cons
Best Uses Comments about RadioShack Multicolor Heat-Shrink Tubing (12-Pack): This is not only marked wrong (does not contain any 1/2" pieces) but it is a very low quality. Melts far too easy.
Pros Cons
Best Uses Comments about RadioShack Multicolor Heat-Shrink Tubing (12-Pack): I ran out of our commercial shrink tubing at work and tried to use this as a temporary replacement. I would never put this in a product, or even use it for personal use. Even with professional shrink tube equipment, this tubing melts too easy. It lacks uniform constriction. It can split open if not extremely careful. And last of all, compared to commercial grade, it barely shrinks at all. I wouldn't recommend this to an enemy, much less a friend!

Comments about RadioShack Multicolor Heat-Shrink Tubing (12-Pack): These are great little cut to size tubes, But there is only one problem, they have one VERY Small one that is no use to me. But now i dont have to try to reuse old heat shrinks, so worth the money.

Comments about RadioShack Multicolor Heat-Shrink Tubing (12-Pack): The description for this on the website is incorrect. The desc. says that theere are 3 sizes -- 1/8, 1/4 and 1/2 inch. Actually the package contains 1/16, 1/8 and 1/4 inch. I was specifically looking for 1/2 inch tubing at the store and guess what?...none to be found.
Comments about RadioShack Multicolor Heat-Shrink Tubing (12-Pack): This stuff is really terrible!, it burns in low heat with large amounts of visual scaring. Very low shrink ratio. Displaying reviews 1-10 Previous | Next » |
