Seems like a nice economical package for the hobbyist. I purchased it for peace of mind while tinkering around inside computers or other electronics. The wrist strap and ground wire checked out with proper 1 MOhm resistance. The mat is described as "vinyl" but no further information. I presume it's suitably dissipative, but I don't really have a good way of measuring the resistivity. Point-to-point measurement on the mat with a 20 MOhm range meter gave no reading, but that probably doesn't mean anything. It would be nice if more information about the mat was included in the Tech Specs.
