These have an 8mm diameter. That would have been useful info for the description, I don't know why they wouldn't include it. Comes with a scerw and washer for each end of each standoff. The washer has a 5mm outside diameter, same as the screw head, and it about 0.6mm thick.

These standoffs look to be good but take note: they, and therefore the screws that come with them, are short. They're fine for mounting to sheet metal, but if you're using them with a heavy plastic or wood enclosure the screws may be too short to get through the enclosure and into the standoffs. In that case plan on shopping for some longer screws or a different standoff.

There are cheaper ways to go if you don't expect much from a standoff for some little project, but these seem to be the best approach if you need a solution that's durable and/or precise. Great quality, and you'd be hard pressed to break one or strip its threads.

BTW, if you want to use a different fastener (vs.what comes in the bag), these are threaded for M3 fasteners, and to about 3mm in depth.

Use these to mount a motherboard. Good luck. These are absolutely NOT for mounting a motherboard. They are threaded at both ends, which makes them impossible to mount inside a computer case. Whoever wrote that these are ideal for mounting mohterboards should be fired.

My first attempt at building a POWER PC and all I get in the box with the motherboard is a handful of plastic standoffs.
RadioShack to the rescue!! These are one of the best items on the market, the size is great,the items are exactly what you need if you are doing motherboard mounting.
I should have ordered them earlier and saved the headache of being told I needed them.

I have used many different brands of 10mm insulated stand-off's and have never found any that are as precise as these. The composition of the insulating material has the best tolerances I have used.

I HIGHLY recommedn these units for anyone who is looking for top quality and rugged performance in a component.
