Best Uses Comments about RadioShack 9V Recording Module: This is a great device to incorporate into home-made projects (self repeating SOS Am transmitter). I would recommend this to anyone who's an enthusiast. And this is obviously a cool gadget to have on hand for it's own benefits.
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about RadioShack 9V Recording Module: I just bought unit 12/2011 and it has the separate mic, so I think RS got the message.

Comments about RadioShack 9V Recording Module: This is an extraordinarily versatile module. We use it in a product that reproduces wildlife vocalizations in the field for reasearchers across the country. It can be encorporated into a circuit very easily with few components. The newer version (with separate condenser mic) has BETTER audio quality than the older single-speaker model. My only recommendation is that RadioShack assign SEPARATE PART NUMBERS for the two different models, as the circuits are very different, and those ordering them in large quantities can plan ahead for the product they're going to receive (right now, it's a luck-of-the-draw for which you get when you order, or go to the 276-1323 peg at a store). Please keep offering this great product! Pros

Comments about RadioShack 9V Recording Module: Bought the last Three 276-1323 "Digital Voice recording modules" from my local store in January. I was impressed with the quality of the PCB and the high quality surface mounted components. I liked these so much I modeled and cast special mounts for the unit to conveniently hold the Microphone, Buttons, Battery and Speaker, for use in several projects I was building. I planned to purchase a large volume of them. Pros

Comments about RadioShack 9V Recording Module: This device does do exactly what it is described to do. However, the sound quality is hit or miss, but mostly miss. For voices, it is probably acceptable, but for anything else, it just doesn't sound that good during playback. For the price, this is probably to be expected. Pros

Comments about RadioShack 9V Recording Module: If this Recording Module blows up for whatever reason such as static or over voltage then refer to my attached image for easy fix. You will need to replace the 9 VDC battery with regulated 5 VDC source. Remove the 3 pin device regulator, remove the original red wire and place at where the 3 resistors all meet near the board long edge. Keep rest of wires as is and resume normal use. Pros

Comments about RadioShack 9V Recording Module: It works great for the price. The speaker is pretty loud for the size. We used this for a school project to play the sounds of a swamp. Recorded by placing mic up to headphones playing MP3 from MP3 player. Worked great. Put tape on the metal leads coming from record button though. Touching those leads makes it reset very easily by mistake. Displaying reviews 1-10 Previous | Next » |
