Anyone that has problems soldering on these boards should take a BASIC course in soldering. These boards are very easy to solder. Do not sand the contacts, if you really feel the need then clean with a high quality electronic parts cleaner. And remember flux is your friend.

I use these boards with a mini box for a number of different small projects. They are well made and available at most Radio Shack stores. They are small so only good for very small projects.

I've never had issues with these boards - there's no reason whatsoever to sand the contacts before soldering - it just reduces the amount of copper present, making it less resistant to heat.

Pads will lift after multiple solder/unsolder sessions, or by applying to much heat - but how is that different than any other board out there? Anyone who says this board doesn't work well needs to learn how to solder.

This board is the best prototype/single-off permanent board I've found. As the posters have mentioned you have to be careful not to heat it too much when soldering. I can typically get 3 solder/desolder cycles before the copper starts lifting off the board. [...]

Great for prototyping small circuits. Need to be careful about how much heat you use when soldering, and how long you maintain that heat or the pads can fall off. Otherwise it's a very handy product. Don't ever stop selling these RadioShack!

the contacts came off both boards that I bought. I cleaned the boards with very fine sand paper so the solder would stick better, but as soon as I started soldering the contacts started coming off.
