Comments about RadioShack Chassis-Mount Dual Female Binding Post: I have been using this to make power splitter boxes for my amateur radio equipment in all of my cars. Three built so far. I run a 60a fused single larger power wire from the front of my car to the trunk (like a 0 gauge). Just add one of the RS enclosures, place a high current car audio type fused distribution block in it, drill and mount three or four of these binding posts in the enclosure and you are all set. Multiple fuse protected circuits that are easily connectible and disconnectable. You CAN REMOVE THE SCREWS FROM THE BINDING POSTS, but you really need to man up on them the first time and crank on them to back them off as they were not intented to be removed. The removal process has worked for me with 15 of these. The next time you loosen them, they will come right off. I use ring terminals on these exclusively, so they needed to be removable. This setup was need with the ring terminals as I switch my dual feed transceiver, tuner, and other equipment from car to car. Now just back out the ring terminals, grab the quick release mount for the radio, pull it and stick it in the new car. Easy as pie.

Comments about RadioShack Chassis-Mount Dual Female Binding Post: Works great, was used to replace/upgrade the screw terminals on a Realistic Color Organ. The unit works better than before.

Cons Best Uses Comments about RadioShack Chassis-Mount Dual Female Binding Post: In my opinion these these binding post's are better on every aspect than the banana jacks that Radio Shack offers. I don't know what the other reviewer was talking about when he mentioned you cannot remove the nuts when installing ring terminals. Because you can clearly see from the picture these have a nut and a locking nut, that can be removed. Maybe he was talking about another product? Only draw back is they are [$], pretty expensive for aproduct made in China.

Comments about RadioShack Chassis-Mount Dual Female Binding Post: I used these to add a power point to my dash to hook up a ham radio. They are well made, easy to install, and can take some knocking around. Like the other reviewer, the post do not come off, so no ring connectors. Work great with bannana plugs

Best Uses Comments about RadioShack Chassis-Mount Dual Female Binding Post: This set of binding posts is quite robust and I have no worries of premature failure. However, the fact they don't have removeable nuts makes them less versatile (you can't attach ring terminals to them if they don't have removable nuts). Displaying reviews 1-5 |
