What happened to the bulb that just had two wires on the bottom...instead of these soldered-on and wrapped leads. That was what I needed... come on, Radio Shack, give us a choice.

I have been useing this bulbs for 30 years,on my model boats and have never had one burn out yet,
i think this is a great little bulb and will keep on useing them

used for replacement Dial Lamps in older stereo equipment.

leads are way too short but easy enough to scab it on to the original bulb leads (just not a very professional method)

Shack used to carry good products, those days are long gone :(

I have an electronic device that uses this lamp, and unfortunately I can't find another source for it.

The biggest problem with this lamp is that it has an unacceptable low life. I'm guessing that its life is probably under 500 hours when running below recommended voltage (8V vs. 12V) ... it burns out much faster at recommended voltage.

As I result, I have to open up the equipment and replace it about once a year. I've used about 6-8 of these lamps.

I wish I could find an alternate supplier.
