4 HP pump recirculating pump stopped working. The error code indicated a blown fuse. This fuse worked like a champ.

First step, watch a few YouTube videos and you too will learn how to remove the special torch screws with just a small 1/8" flat-tip screwdriver. No special tools needed. And second, find out that it is as simple as replacement of that pesky fuse! The hardest thing was getting the fuse out without breaking it. Yup, so simple that a 1/4-geek woman like me can do it! Hopefully, you'll read this before you take on the project...

Like these other Reviews, my Microwave went dead, and I just had it in for another Item to be repaired so knew what the repair shop Charged, just to give a Est. was $75. So I just got my Screw Driver out & remove the Cover Screw's and like this other person had trouble with the 2 Tamper Proof Screw's, but did get them out and just did not put them back in. As they have en-of screw's holding the cover as is(8 Other). And Sure as Rain, the Fuse was Blowen, & went to Radio Shack and got a Package of 4 for [$], and put the new one in and all is OK Now. To think that if I had not done this Myself and let the Repair Shop do it, it would have Cost at least $75.00 Min. But with just a little work on my part and it only cost me [$]. Thanks to Radio Shack, having these Fuse's.

My Micro oven (Emmerson) was dead....so my wife was ready to cremate it in garbage but, just with curiosity I opened the back panel and happen to look the fuse, the FUSE was dead, burnt and glass was black. So I went to get the fuse at R/S where I found it and replaced....now it is alive and on use as usual besides that saved around $100 instead to by new one.

Dead Sanyo microwave, no display, no interior light.

I unplugged the oven and popped the cover off (well, after fiddling with two tamper-resistant Torx screws that is, grrr!). Fuse was in a holder right on top. Removed the fuse and checked it with a ohmmeter and it was open.

RS had the fuse I needed, a 20A ceramic. Cleaned out the holder, inserted the fuse and buttoned up the cover. Plugged in the oven and it worked fine.

The manufacturers of these appliances are making it harder to service them, but with a little ingenuity and the availability of simple parts like fuses it is still possible. I can't wax poetic about a fuse, but I can thank RS for keeping these little parts available at the local level.

Microwave quit working overnight, traced down the power supply and simply replaced the fuse. Saved 55.00 from inspection / repair and 200.00 on replacement with a [$] part. Paid to take the little extra time to investigate and repair myself.
