Comments about RadioShack 12.6V CT 3.0A Chassis-Mount Transformer with Leads: Went thru two new ones in the same day. Hooked up exactly as the specs say and the first one lasted about a minute before burning up with no load. The second one was installed and hooked up to my multimeter to moniter it. It produced 12.6 volts then died with a spectacular blue flash and smoke.
