Comments about RadioShack 25.2V CT 450mA Standard Chassis-Mount Transformer with Leads:

I built a small op-amp based audio preamp. This transformer worked perfect. The board called for 300mA so this was perfect.

Comments about RadioShack 25.2V CT 450mA Standard Chassis-Mount Transformer with Leads:

I needed a small power transformer to feed a 12vDC power supply. I built a 'Ruby' guitar amplifier, powered by a 12vDC source. Added a filtered regulated power supply, requiring a PT with the specs that this transformer is rated for. Worked great, and I picked another up for the next project.

Comments about RadioShack 25.2V CT 450mA Standard Chassis-Mount Transformer with Leads:

Used for +/- DC op amp supply for notch & bandbass filters. The AC output with 120 VAC in is actually 28vac which works better than expected as the op amps will handle up to 18vdc thus increasing their input capability before clipping. The DC output from the bridge is +/- 12.1vdc. I bought 2 for current (no pun intended) projects and will buy more as needed.

Good, affordable experimentor's transformer. However I am increasingly having to order parts on the net instead of finding them at the local Radio Shack. Very frustrating.

I've used a variety of the transformers for demonstrator models. In the demonstrations, they are bolted faults for 20 - 30 seconds. I have been very pleased with the reliability.

Good value for the dollar, I wish they would rate this transformer in VA instead of amperage though.

I think this is a nise low cost transformer. It gives a good amount of voltage for its price too.
