I know how to wire it up, but how big is it ? What is the spacing for the mounting holes ? The 'Tech Specs' are useless. Thank God it supports the english language, since I don't speak any other languages.

This and the 3 amp version are extremely useful in 'bucking' modern-day line voltages (120-125 VAC) down to the lower, friendlier levels found 70+ years ago (105-115 VAC) when used in restoring antique tube radios, especially those pre-WWII sets that use power transformers. Those antique radio power transformers were not designed for today's higher line voltages and can overheat when plugged directly into them. These economical 12.6V transformers really do help them to keep their cool. In many instances, too, these transformers will fit under the sets' chassies, also helping to keep their appearances closer to original.

You guys that complain about not knowing how to wire it up there is a link on the tech specs that give very easy to understand wiring instructions.

Very good, how ever from reading these other reviews, I could agree how ever. Mine I bought in Florida was made when it was Tandy Corp. Not Radio Shack a.k.a. Retail Shack.

Anyways, It is what it is 6.3-0-6.3v

You can use the outer secondaries for a AC voltage of 12-20 Volts. I got it down to about 14, I need 12V but I am using my voltage regulators and of course I smooth out the DC after a rectifier so I smooth it to around 15V DC with an AC ripple of 3.5V AC.

Other then that this is a great transformer.

It appears the previous reviewer doesn't know what a center tapped transformer is. Please google it. The side with two leads is 120v the side with 3 is your output from the picture it appears black (as usual) is ground and the others are your voltage. Anyway I got something like this if not this one for a tube filament transformer for an amplifier.

Used this transformer in a regulated power supply. Leads color coded as per industry specs. No instructions needed for tech savvy people. Transformer built in shielded case and make an attractive addition to equipment.
