Best Uses Comments about RadioShack 2-Sided Copper-Clad PC Board: The board seems to have a thicker-than-usual copper coat on it, making for long etch times that cause trouble when timing is important. Also, the fiberglass inbetween the copper plating will NOT take well to heating - DO NOT HEAT THIS PCB!! I was trying to use it for a direct inkjet etch-resist mask which required preheating the pcb (done with an airgun at 350F), the copper suddenly popped from gas forming within the fiberglass and copper shrapnel went flying everywhere - thankfully, nothing hit me. Be aware that this board does not take to heating very well!
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about RadioShack 2-Sided Copper-Clad PC Board: These boards are perfect for creating your own printed circuit boards. The only issue I have ever had with them is trying to cut them down to sides but you would have that problem with any fiberglass based copper clad board.
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about RadioShack 2-Sided Copper-Clad PC Board: cheap in price
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about RadioShack 2-Sided Copper-Clad PC Board: I used toner transfer method to etch boards for cmoy amps. Worked great! Drilled easy! I wish it was sold with single side too! I made some nice amps!
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about RadioShack 2-Sided Copper-Clad PC Board: etched an H-bridge onto this board that carries over 20 amps at 12vdc. I made the power traces large, but it has handled the power just fine. I was able to cut it in half to make 2 smaller boards. Will be buying more.
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about RadioShack 2-Sided Copper-Clad PC Board: I've bought a couple to engrave on a cnc machine, wasted the first one getting the engraver set up right and finally got a really great looking result on the second board. This was cut and drilled on the bottom side and then the board flipped to cut the top side.

Comments about RadioShack 2-Sided Copper-Clad PC Board: This is a good product. When I first bought it, I did not know it was this big. I thought it was smaller, but boy was I wrong.
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about RadioShack 2-Sided Copper-Clad PC Board: I have had great success using this to fabricate pc board with the Toner transfer/iron on method. I haven't had any trouble with it yet. Also useful for the "chip method" of making model rocket igniters.
Pros Cons
Best Uses Comments about RadioShack 2-Sided Copper-Clad PC Board: I tried using this board with the Gootee method. When I heated it with an iron, something vaporized under the cladding. This caused the cladding to bubble and separate from the rest of the board. This board might be okay if an etching method is used that doesn't involve heat. Displaying reviews 1-10 |
