Comments about RadioShack 12.6V 300mA PCB-Mount Miniature Transformer:

I needed a panel-mounted clean power supply for my giant 7-band audio spectrum analyzer. I've collected many wall-mounted DC adapters from discarded equipment and had been using one of those for the development phase. All but two of them produced stray signals in the 120V lamp display matrix when the source audio signal was paused. In hope of building my own unit, I bought a 12.6V 300mA transformer; a 1.4A, 100V full-wave bridge rectifier; a 1N4004 diode; and an LM317T regulator. When I assembled these components with resistors and capacitors that I already had, I was able to produce a 5VDC output that generated no stray signal output in the. Everything performed to my highest expectations. I am extremely satisfied.

Comments about RadioShack 12.6V 300mA PCB-Mount Miniature Transformer:

I use this product in a limited production capacity for a customized 12/5 voltDC voltage supply. I found that from my first use in a prototype circuit, it has performed flawlessly and after 3 years it continues to perform. Stable from day one. Great little unit for the price.

Comments about RadioShack 12.6V 300mA PCB-Mount Miniature Transformer:

Small, fits a PCB easily... that if you want to accept a component that reaches 110F with 75F ambient temperature and NO LOAD.
I've bought small transformers from RS and they run just fine. This model is NOT one of them.
I rated it 1/5 because 0/5 is not an option. Maybe 0/5 means it bursts into flames within seconds???
Connected 150mA load and it reached 120F already...

Comments about RadioShack 12.6V 300mA PCB-Mount Miniature Transformer:

This is a great little transformer. I have used several in various projects. One being a little 12/5volt regulated power supply that has been running non-stop for a couple of years now. It is also useful in old time tube based circuits for heater current in tube filaments.

This is a nice transformer. It is cheap, and it is nice because it can easily be soldered onto a PC Board, which eliminates space inside. It also performs well
