Great for small PCB work

Pros

  • Easy to use

Cons

  • Buy extra tips

Best Uses

  • Small PCB's

Comments about RadioShack Replacement Tip for Pencil Soldering Iron:

Use this iron for ALL my small PCB work... for both prototyping & production. One can pay $$$ more but for price/performance you can't beat this iron. Not for use on SMD work. Tips wear quickly though so have extra on hand. And always replace tips while the iron is hot. BTW you need a BIG iron to solder BIG connections... thus this is NOT the one!
