I am a novice when it comes to soldering but the first time I used this product, I was impressed with how clean my work was! It's perfect with Cold Heat if you are tired of getting burnt by conventional soldering irons.

I use this for some DIY audio projects, mostly through hole and a very little surface mount work. This is about the thickest solder I'd want to attempt surface mounts with. It's quasi-eutectic, so cold joints are possible, but not likely. The flux could be better, but it's perfectly workable. Also I noticed most people don't know that the silver content is to prevent leeching from silvered IC contacts, it has no real impact on conductivity.
