Why are speaker connectors on TOP??

Comments about RadioShack Eight-Terminal A/V Wall Plate:

This is a product with a good concept, but it was very hard to install with it. Maybe I got a dud, but my connectors are on the TOP which made it nearly impossible to feed the wire down through them. If the connectors would have been on the side...then the speaker cable could have just been fed in and then tightened down on each connector.

I got it working and it does make for a clean final installation, but the top speaker inputs on the connectors is what drops this rating from a 5 to a 3 for me.

Comments about RadioShack Eight-Terminal A/V Wall Plate:

I use this product typically for a 7.1 home theater system installation. This allows me to hide the wires for the RS, LS, RBS, and LBS speakers. Hiding wires inside walls goes along way toward selling that new home theater system that you NEED "wink and knod" but must mesh with the existing room decore.

Comments about RadioShack Eight-Terminal A/V Wall Plate:

Looks very professional when installed correctly and gets rid of those unsightly speaker wires everywhere. It does take a little know-how to run the wires, but well worth the effort.

Comments about RadioShack Eight-Terminal A/V Wall Plate:

I'm using them with monster cable behind the walls of a recording studio for studio playback speakers and control room monitors. I love them!!! A bit expensive, and the 8-connector plate is a bit tight with the heavy gauge wire, but still great!
