Having used professional 3-blade strippers, I was a bit disappointed to find this only makes two of the three strips required-- just the outer jacket and shield get cut, leaving the center conductor to be stripped by hand. That said, it does the two hardest things to do with a standard strip tool.
It comes set for standard coax sizes, but I needed to do the mini RG-59U size ... and found the settings table to be outright wrong or misleading, depending on how one interprets the 2 of 3 strip lengths vs. connector specs.
Having to reposition blades laterally is quite difficult, requiring watchmaker dexterity, and reveals flimsy construction. It can be done, but you should buy one of these for each cable type rather than changing setups.
It ultimately did the job for a dozen cuts, returning the (low) investment in one day, but I would not recommend it for everyday use or more than a hundred cuts based on flimsy construction and adjustment uncertainty.

Had a quick 30 HD-SDI cables to assemble for a small last minute project. After moving the blades the the appropriate position (read the instructions, pay attention to the sharp parts) I was able to knock out my 60 cuts and crimps in a little under 90 minutes.

I recently bought this stripper to strip Rg58 coax to install pl259 connectors for a cb radio antenna and i am very impressed i wish i had this tool years ago. I used to strip coax by hand using wire cutters and that method is time consuming and hard to do i could easily strip coax 10 times with this tool before i got 1 stipped with wire cutters. Buy it you will not be disappointed!

owned this about 5 years and use it often to install security cameras. Mostly RG59 coax. Blades are still sharp. Once in a while have to adjust blade depth. Would recommend to a friend, would also make a great gift for someone that is into electronics.

I needed to make up about 30 jumpers using RG8X coax (mini 8). Bought this stripper and it works like a charm after adjusting the strip length, which was easy to do. Effortless coax prepping!

Since different cables even of the same type are different in thickness the tool may need adjustment so it is most convenient for stripping the same type cable over and over. For strippig multiple cable types I would rather have several toos than changing the setting on this one even though it is easy

This strips Coax cable quickly and easily, but it is a pain in the butt to adjust the blades for different stripping lengths. You spend more time making one adjustment than you do stripping five cables. Nevertheless, it is a very good tool to have sitting around for when you need it.

Stripped a number of cables to replace the bad push on connectors in seconds. Once you set it correctly for your type of cable and connector you can really move quick. Highly recommended with the cable crimper if you are doing a few or want to make your own custom cables.
