By Tim from N/A About Me Enthusiast Pros Consistent Performance Cons Requires heat sink Best Uses Small Projects Comments about RadioShack TIP3055 NPN Transistor: I bought two of these(one as a backup) to use in a fluorescent lamp inverter. Since you will likely need this in a high power application, a heat sink may needed. A few things to note on this product: First, incorrectly labeled, it's really a MJE3055T however I already was aware of it. Second, do NOT believe the ratings on this page as nearly all of them are incorrect. It's correct max ratings are: I(C) of 10A, and Power Dissipation of 75Watts. Google "MJE3055T" to find the correct data sheet. Primary use: Personal Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend (7 of 7 customers found this review helpful) Was this review helpful?
