I use these in high school circuit experiments. If you click on the "Product Summary" tab, more technical information is given. FYI

LED works fine, but why no tech data?

Comments about RadioShack® 5mm LED (Green):

There is nothing wrong with this product, other than Radio-Shack provides absolutely no tech data. The physical dimensions are given, but that is of little use.

I can survive without a datasheet, but its ridiculous that the rated current and rated on-state voltage is not given.

When tested on "diode-test" on multimeter (with 0.5[mA] supplied to LED) the on-state voltage was 1.82[V]. The rated current is assumed to be higher because the LED was quite dim.

Advice to those who seem to have technical problems: You should select a resistor base upon the supplied voltage (from battery, or whatever DC source), as well as the the rated current & on-state voltage for the LED ***that is not given in the "technical information"***... Refer to "Ohm's law" and middle-school math if in doubt. At least go to wikipedia.

Would have been nice to know what voltage these things liked BEFORE I blew them up with too much. But hey, they were nice and bright for a few seconds!
