Comments about RadioShack Bright-Red Blinking LED Module: add security sign and this light and you have a well lit security warning for all to see

Comments about RadioShack Bright-Red Blinking LED Module: I've used these modules successfully as attention-getters next to alarm warning stickers in street-facing windows. If someone comes close to investigate, they'll see the warning sticker; if they don't come close, they'll probably assume the light is part of an active alarm system. When equipped with fresh alkaline cells, the light flashes are dazzling in their brilliance when one looks directly into the light, and it can easily be seen more than 30 feet (10 m) away, even in the daytime. A fresh set of cells will keep it going for several months, albeit at decreasing brightness as the battery runs down. The tiny circuit board on which the LED is mounted has a small epoxy "glob-top" integrated circuit mounted on the back that controls the flashing, giving it somewhat better performance than blinking LEDs with built-in flash circuits.

Comments about RadioShack Bright-Red Blinking LED Module: After having my aluminum truck toolboxes broken into TWICE and cleaned of all tools (about $2,500 each time), I bought one of these, drilled one hole next to the keylock cylinder and literally taped it in place inside with duct tape. With only the 1/8" blinking LED visible outside, it provided the illusion of a hardwired alarm system, and I was never robbed again over the next five years.

Can even be used as flashing warning lights on the roof of tall model buildings, a real eye catcher.

Comments about RadioShack Bright-Red Blinking LED Module: When this little red light starts blinking, the criminals start thinking, twice that is. And they should, not only should they think this red light means they'll get caught, they always do anyway! Protect your property and potentially your life if crime comes to your door. Friend got his fishing gear stolen right out from under his nose while grilling in the back. After we talked about it, the red LED light was blinking at his side door. Thanks for making it so easy and affordable!!

Comments about RadioShack Bright-Red Blinking LED Module: We bought this LED unit exactly two weeks ago at Radio Shack. This semi-outdated and cheap device is great for getting the attention of rescuers to help find your way out of a dark hole, such as when you get lost on a caving trip with the wrong people who don't know what they are doing, are not prepared, and forget how to find their way back to the safety of light! When it gets turned on, it can be seen for hundreds of feet away like an SOS dance party. Our caving team highly recommends this product but hopefully you're smart enough to find your way out before the red lights start blinking. I'd say batteries would last over a month after being turned on more frequently, but contain the energy because you never know when you'll need it most when lost in more scenic and wonderful places!!

Comments about RadioShack Bright-Red Blinking LED Module: Set up motion sensors at critical areas of the yard and driveway. Hooked the motion sensors to the LEDs as ON switches to tell me if I have a trespasser. Now I'll catch the jerk who stole my GPS from my truck!
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about RadioShack Bright-Red Blinking LED Module: I used the red blinking LED to make a light similar to those sold on the internet and poultry suppliers to repel night animals that could harm your livestock.
