be cautious when tightening the nut... it will snap the head of the led off.. i've not found a consistant torque. i'm going to use silicone to keep the nut from backing off

Using this as a power indicator on a very rugged off-road automotive application. Reliability, durability are a must have. Works as it should. Advertised as RED, lo and behold: It's RED.

I purchased 8 in total. Nice design. However half of the 8 are dim and the other half are bright. The circuit is parallel not series. Havent made an attempt in turning in for warranty. Kinda scared to do all the work for the same results.

Used these to replace indicator lights on cars, RV and motorcycles. Work very well. Almost as bright as the incandescent bulbs they replaced. No more worries about bulb/socket corrosion and vibrations (motorcycle) don't bother them. Great for reducing current load on systems (especially motorcycles).

Would like to see something done about seeing them in daylight, but, they are just LED's.

Its not the led's problem, you simple wired it wrong. You wired it so that the led is "hot" all the time. You need to run a hot to your switch, then the hot running from the switch will connect sirens lights and the led all together. That way when you turn it on those all come on, and when you turn it off then the led will go off. Its a simple procedure, but if your not experienced then its easy to mess up to.

Almost great.....cannot be seen in direct sunlight! Radio Shack needs to enhance the tech specs on there products..!!

I am writing in responce to the last revier and would like to say that that is impossible. You may have a NO/NC Switch in which there are two on positions. This is a wonderful product and has no flaws.
