I made a tap tempo foot pedal with this button and it is not nearly durable enough. It broke within 2 minutes of use. Go with a metal switch elsewhere.

I replaced the starter switch on my '81 Yamaha XV750 with this switch, and it works perfectly in addition to fitting in the original hole. This modification is running around all over the country since it was discovered that this switch will replace our faulty starter buttons. Thank you so much for making it available! Dan

This button works great for a rapid fire mod. The cap does come off and it is very big but overall i think it is the best button you can get.

I would recommend that you purchase a higher quality product, for those ordering online, pass on this one. It's initial quality appears high, but it has a very weak build quality. I used this switch for two days, wiring in a push button start on my car. Even if you press it gently, it will wear, and instead of the actuator returning to an open state, the switch will remain in a closed state. You will have to wiggle it to return it to open state. I've used other switches in the past with very strong spring components in the actuator, this is not one of them. [...]

I headed over to Radioshack to find a momentary button for a killswitch in my guitar. This is all they had, and I temporarily tied it up and it worked like a charm. Best if you have smaller hands as the button is pretty small. Anyway if that's what you're looking for then this works just fine.
