Comments about RadioShack Pushbutton Normally-Closed Momentary Switch(4-Pack):

I used this switch as a reset switch for my alarm system but after 24hours the switched stopped giving contact so I replaced the reset switch. The new switch is working good so far but my other switches started to have the same problem. I would suggest thAt if you got this switch you buy a few extra in case the first one failed. Lastly don't use this in a life safety system because you can rest asure that it will fail in a few days

Comments about RadioShack Pushbutton Normally-Closed Momentary Switch(4-Pack):

I used this on an effects pedal with remote volume switch, to automatically kill the signal when untouched. The switch was sticky at first, but after repeated use seems fine, and I got a 4 pack for the price, so I'm happy.

Works as expected, but not for heavy use

Comments about RadioShack Pushbutton Normally-Closed Momentary Switch(4-Pack):

I bought these for a proto-type footswitch I was building. I wanted minimal cost in the proto-type and I knew these switches would be cheap. The switches worked as I'd hoped which was great, but one of them broke within the first few uses and another soon followed. They have a fragile plastic stem and won't stand up to any abuse or heavy use. Might be ok if your application is gentle, but they're not suitable for a footswitch. I knew that when buying them so I don't fault Radio Shack, I got what I expected and paid for.

Morons...these little switches are great for low-voltage installations. Melting plastic? Try connecting them to something under 400V.
Backwards? No more than the wiring in your heads.
Read what you are buying, learn what you are doing and put the two together. Buy the correct switch for the correct installation.
              Morons....unbelievable

Comments about RadioShack Pushbutton Normally-Closed Momentary Switch(4-Pack):

I just recently wanted to make a killswitch for a guitar like Buckethead. I bought the soft touch momentary, but i quickly found out that when you push the button, the circuit is closed. Meaning the sound didn't come through w/o pushing it down. This switch did the exact opposite. I've only tried this switch out on an electric guitar, so if it doesn't work well for anything else, don't buy it. But it's super cheap, so you can't really get ripped off.

3 of the 4 switches in the pack worked, the other was DOA. I used 2 and both failed in a couple days, with limited use. Started shorting out the connection, causing noise, before totally failing - which I guess is a pro(?)
Do not buy. What happened to radio shack the last few years?

Comments about RadioShack Pushbutton Normally-Closed Momentary Switch(4-Pack):

11 of the 25 reviews prior to mine are low because the user clearly misunderstood that this switch is NORMALLY CLOSED. In fairness to RS, I think they should remove these reviews and insert a note like this saying why they did it. These specific low reviews unfairly lower the rating the switch should really get. Also, if these users had returned the switches, the RS employee should have explained what the problem really was. One review complained that the switch did not stand up well. If he IS right, then the switch description should indicate it is not for heavy use; however, if used as a (physical) limit switch WITHOUT something else taking the load, then this is again the wrong switch to use.

I am an electrical engineer so i am not an idiot, and these switches constantly failed. Lowest quality I have seen. Some people may get lucky and get a good one, but i went through 2 bags of 4 and all 8 of them either didn't work out of the package or failed after a few uses. Look elsewhere...

This NC button does not work well. Did a continuity test to see how well it worked. Button opened when partially pushed, closed again when fully pushed or pushed at slight angle. All four did the same thing.
