Comments about RadioShack SPST Lighted Rocker Switch: I have installed several of these in the church coffee pot because it was a direct fit and replacement. They do not last and burn out quickly. Will be going back to the DPDT 10 amp metal switch that does not fit that I have used for years from Radio Shack.

Comments about RadioShack SPST Lighted Rocker Switch: The switch functions well until the little wimpy tabs break off of the red switch cover. The tabs are very poorly designed. Once they break, the red top pops off and the spring loaded contact pops out of the switch body rendering the switch useless. We cycle the switches a great deal and they just don't stand up to that task. The red tabs, if redesigned to not break so easily, would make this a much more robust switch design. BTW, tabs are not visible until the red switch top breaks loose from white rocker assy and whole thing pops out of switch body. Needs attention!!!
Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about RadioShack SPST Lighted Rocker Switch: It works perfect for what I bought it for-power switch on a power amplifier.
Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about RadioShack SPST Lighted Rocker Switch: With regard to complaints of "on all the time" behavior: The switch can be configured either on-all-the-time or on-when-switch-on. For the former, connect your AC in to the center terminal and the gold/copper terminal. The lamp will remain lit always and the switch will control the load connected to the third terminal. For the latter behavior, switch the incoming AC to the outside terminal and the load to the center.

Best Uses Comments about RadioShack SPST Lighted Rocker Switch: This switch function irrational, I received 50 pieces last shipment and all where defective, the LED light stays on even after you turn the switch off, previous one we got where fine. Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about RadioShack SPST Lighted Rocker Switch: THE LIGHT ON THE SWITCH LASTS A YEAR OR TWO AND THEN BURNS OUT...SOMETIMES IT WILL FLICKER FOR AWHILE FIRST BEFORE DYING. IF YOUR APPLICATION REQUIRES A LIGHTED SWITCH THAT WILL STILL BE WORKING A YEAR OR TWO DOWN THE ROAD, CONSIDER AN LED SWITCH AS THEY HAVE A MUCH LONGER LIFE.
