Comments about RadioShack 12VDC/1A SPDT Micro Relay: I have used this to power a little trick circuit that blinks my motorcycle's lower fog lights on if off or off if on with the horn. It lives in a very dusty and damp environment under my bike's seat and it has about 60,000 miles on with countless iterations.

Comments about RadioShack 12VDC/1A SPDT Micro Relay: Guys... As someone mentioned earlier. If you don't know how to read the data sheet get some help. The device is a simple low to mid range general purpose relay. I have included a manufacturer's link to the data sheet below for you. This is the "D" version of the relay and it is in a "SS" package. You can get the pin out from this document. One note to the other commenter with regard to operating temperature. This device's coil is rated to 60 deg. C (Celcius, °F = (°C × 1.8) + 32).. You do the conversion but that is fairly hot for most applications. Also this does not mean room temperature.. This means the maximum temperature of the coil itself and specifically the inner most windings.. In most hobby type applications this will not be an issue for you. However if you have any doubt take the cover off and turn on the relay and measure the change in temperature until it settles.. Add 10 deg. C to this value and subtract the resulting value from 60 deg. C and that is the maximum room temperature at which you can use the device.. good luck to you all.. [@]

Best Uses Comments about RadioShack 12VDC/1A SPDT Micro Relay: Maximum operating temp is 55 degrees Fahrenheit. This can only be of use in a refrigerator or freezer. Why such a narrow application?
Comments about RadioShack 12VDC/1A SPDT Micro Relay: Good, reliable relay. I have to chuckle just a little and some of the reviews... if you can bother to complain here but can't find the data sheet on the internet or at least figure it out with your VOM then I have to wonder if you should be fool'n around with this stuff at all! Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about RadioShack 12VDC/1A SPDT Micro Relay: How is a regular customer supposed to know how to hook this up without a wiring diagram.
