Comments about RadioShack 0.5-Amp SPST Reed Relay at 12VDC:

I use this when installing a Bluetooth adapter to new hybrid's radio. The Bluetooth adapter had a control signal, which when a call was active, outputted +12v. My radio had an input that needed to be grounded when a call was active. I simply wired the coil of this reed relay to the Bluetooth adapter, and the contact to the radio (with the other side of the contact to ground). Works great!!!

Great for Rock Band bass pedal modification (for use with real kick pedal). By attaching a magnet uder the bass pedal, and this relay to the base of pedal (underneath but not touching), you simply wire the other end to a 1/8" mono plug and you have a reliable and perfect pedal replacement.
