I have the Huawei Ascend M860 cell phone or Android smart phone (if you want to sound cool).

This phone has a 2.5mm headphone jack input but most headphones have a 3.5mm jack.

So basically this adapter allows you to use headphones with 3.5mm jacks with a device that has a 2.5mm input.

As I said it works perfect with my cell phone and the sound is true stereo sound. I mention this since some people with my cell phone have been saying that they are having trouble finding a compatible adapter but this one does the trick.

Please note I was using normal regular stereo headphones with a 3.5mm jack. I mention this as some headphones include a mic and mine didn't have that so I don't know if this adapter would work with such headphones.

Works well to convert my cell phone's audio jack to standard headphones for mp3 player, but too large to keep plugged in while mobile.

This works with my Palm Centro. Had to trim off some of the outer plastic to get it to go in all the way (phone design issue). It sticks out a little far, but it works.

I'm sorry to say that I have seen cheaper versions of this product that were not only more rugged and reliable, but shorter in length by nearly half.

It works perfectly for the Palm Treo 755p. The only negative aspect is the design of the product. It's a bit longer than I would like it, but otherwise a great functioning adapter.

Doesn't fit cell phone LG-8300. The diameter appears correct, but it can't be inserted far enough into the socket to make a good connection. This is probably the fault of the cell phone design, so I wouldn't reject the device if you have a different application in mind. It may be wise to bring your device to the store and try it out. I need to make a 2nd trip to return or exchange the adapter. My fault - not RS.

Be careful - some cell phones, like my Motorola E815, expect a four-conductor adapter, not this three-conductor adapter.

This is a GREAT product to buy in order to use normal headphones or car tape adapters (or other divices with an 1/8" audio plug) with a cell phone that has a built-in MP3 player such as the i870 from NEXTEL.
