Comments about RadioShack 1/4" Jack-to-A3M XLR Plug Adapter/Transformer:

I own FIVE of these. I keep one in every instrument case. They work so well people "borrow" them- never to be seen again. Yes, they do NOT have the option of a ground lift like a $50 DI box. They also do NOT require a 9v Battery ! I gave away my DI box. I have been using the RadioShack brand version for over 20 years. Not one failure. I am going down to buy 3 more today since I can only find one. A bit of a price by comparison to what you think you are getting. Don't be fooled by a simple XLR to 1/4" ADAPTER It is NOT the same. I bought my first one over 20 years ago for [$] - now they are [$]- Sounds about right.

Comments about RadioShack 1/4" Jack-to-A3M XLR Plug Adapter/Transformer:

I've used this little guy countless time and it has never failed me. I use it at places with built in systems where a 1/4" jack isn't always found, like churches or schools. It small, easy to use and a time saver. I've used it with my guitar and keyboard the most.

Comments about RadioShack 1/4" Jack-to-A3M XLR Plug Adapter/Transformer:

I just plug my acoustic guitar's soundhole pickup into the adapter, into a mic cord, direct to the PA. Easier than a DI box or preamp! No batteries or phantom power (both unreliable)needed.

Comments about RadioShack 1/4" Jack-to-A3M XLR Plug Adapter/Transformer:

There are times where I need to have an XLR(mic) connection on my guitar. In order to simulate the XLR(mic) connection, I use this product. It has a very solid performance and there is no buzz. Although it does not make the 1/4" quality boost to an XLR(mic) quality, it definitely maintains a clean sound. This item was recommended to me by other guitarists.

Haven't had long enough to see if it is good quality, but picked RadShack because they've done good in the past. This is a cut-n-dry purchase so nothing big to say other than it is doing what I want it to do, which is hook up instruments with 1/4" connects into XLR patch boxes for routing to the mixer. woooo hooooo!
