Comments about RadioShack Piezo Element 1500-3000Hz:

Nice for testing small devices like ham radio CW keyers - I wish Radio Shack supplied a bit more specs on transducer....I should have about the output driver as well, but loud enough to test audio circuit.

Bought two of these for the Cigar Box Guitars I make. Added 1/4" female jack and electrified my guitars for around five bucks. Just plug into the amp and jam.

Comments about RadioShack Piezo Element 1500-3000Hz:

As a new electronics prototyper/experimenter, I got this home and gave the package a closer read. What the package tells me is the component requires a driver circuit. Searching the rest of the packaging and the internet, I have no idea what a driver circuit is, why it's needed, or how the hell I can actually use this transducer in any of my projects or experiments.

Comments about RadioShack Piezo Element 1500-3000Hz:

Senior drivers keep forgetting to turn off the turn signal because the clicking sound is too subtle, as is blinking light on the dashboard? This fix works great! Affix the piezo element on the head liner of the car or truck, mere inches from the driver's left ear. Inconspicuously run 2 wires along the door frame to below the dashboard, where the turn signal flasher is located. To complete the magic, just wire the piezo element in parallel with the turn signal flasher. Being piezo, it appears to be an open circuit to 12 Volt flasher circuit. But, being piezo, it gives a resounding "CLICK" as the flasher blinks the lights on and off. Cheap substitute for a co-pilot whining, "turn off your darn blinker!"

I use them to build home made Drum triggers. They are cheap and easy to find. I broke the first one I tried to remove from the plastic casing, but once I learned how, I am now able to remove them with out damage. I wish you could get them with out the plastic housing. The wire leads are a bit thin, and can break if you use them in an application where the wires move a lot. Still, a great product for the money.

I used it to make a ukulele electric. I used this and a female 1/4 inch jack to make it since I didn't have any wire and just taped it on. Just be sure not to touch the piezo while it's plugged into your amp, because it will make a really loud buzzing noise.

Neither the bin tag in your store nor the website product description indicated the voltage. Your store associate said it would work on a 9v battery. It needs 30v.

I have twelve of them that are of no use to me. I bought another product that was properly labeled.
