What is the Voltage Rating

Comments about RadioShack Bayonet Base with Lenses:

I bought one to use in a tube radio requiring a 6.3V 250ma bayonet lamp, but neither the packaging, the store clerk, nor the online description say what the voltage rating is. Anyone know?
Would also like to see one of these with both wiring connection points coming straight out the end, to make it easier to install in a 5/8 tube that is sometimes found in old radio chassis.

Comments about RadioShack Bayonet Base with Lenses:

Do not replace the bulb with power still on.
With no bulb the center tip can short to the case.

Comments about RadioShack Bayonet Base with Lenses:

On several occasions I have needed to quickly build test equipment. These inidicator housings are perfect for red or green lighting with T3-1/4 standard incansescent bulbs at any voltage you choose. These provide far more value per unit than comparable products from other vendors. The light diffusion from the lens is great when using a 28V bulb (ML1820) running at 24 VDC.

I would love it if they sold separately a lens kit with clear, amber, and blue lens caps for a bit more variety when multiple inidcators are required for a panel.
