Comments about RadioShack 100K-Ohm Audio-Taper Potentiometer: These are great pots. They rotate smoothly with just enough backforce to prevent them from drifting, especially when mounted in high volume audio gear. Pay no attention to Thistledown below. ALL standard pots use the same lug configuration, and all rotate clockwise from 7 o'clock to 5 o'clock. Only multi-turn pots would be expected to rotate 360 degrees or more. What he wants is physically impossible with this type of pot.

Best Uses Comments about RadioShack 100K-Ohm Audio-Taper Potentiometer: I'd like to see a more verbose wiring diagram on the packaging, and a clear pin numbering/assignment stamped on the case or PCB. I'm using this product in very close confines and find the PCB standoff to waste a lot of space unnecessarily. The post only turns about 300-320 deg instead of a full or nearly full 360. This means you may not use a knob with numbered positions in relation to a fixed point on the mounting because if it goes from zero to ten, you're only going to get to 8.75 or so. Worse still if your knob goes up to 11...... (sorry, obligatory Spinal Tap reference) Displaying reviews 1-4 |
