Soldered it into the project, connected my multimeter leads, now it maxes out at 18k ohm resistance. Desoldered bench tested again still only goes up to 18k. So I know it's just a trim and they are usually only rated for for 20 to 100 adjustments but after 5 this is a dud. I am sure the shack will replace or refund but annoying none the less.
