This is very different from powering, say a radio. The motor draws a lot more current, and, as usual, batteries get warm (not hot). This holder, however, is made of very soft plastic. It is sturdy when cool, but plastic is thin and gets soft when warmed up, and springs that pressurize the batteries popped out from other side of the housing after about 15 min of use. Do not use this in high power applications!
