I retrofit microphones for 2 way & Ham Radio. My latest was making a Army Vietnam Nam back pack radio microphone work on a new Icon 746pro radio. I am amazed at how great this worked. The audio was much better than the owners expensive Icon desk microphone. I have worked in TV and Radio stations, two way radio and electronics for 47 years. Believe me when I tell t you that is a great little microphone. I also have installed these inside of mountain dulcimers for audio pickups, to be used with an amplifier. Try this on your next audio project! BTW, I have not had failures from these microphone elements. Know the part # when you go into the store!

Your writeup is inconsistent. On the package it says the supply voltage is 1.0 to 10 VDC. On the website it start out saying 2.0 to 10 VDC and later on it says 3.0 to 10 volts.
A little proof reading would help.
The product is fine. I plan to use it on 5 VDC.

i buy this to replace the microphone element in computer headsets. most lower end headsets come with very poor quality microphones that sound terrible. i buy this one to replace them and it sounds as good as the sound codec can make it. it also helps for situations where the sound from the mic is very low, requiring you to up the microphone volume.

Very durable, performs well, easy to hook up.
Low frequencies and distant sounds do overshadow the highs and near field sounds. This was a little disappointing but for the price one cannot complain.

Its a good microphone, great for picking up deep sounds, but the deep notes drown out the highs. Very sensitive, distorts easy.
