Comments about RadioShack Ground Loop Isolator: best for DJ
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about RadioShack Ground Loop Isolator: I use dozens of these devices through out our radio studios. Every computer gets two, one for input, one for output. They eliminate all ground loop noise. I also use them for converting between balanced and unbalanced audio, although this does require cutting off the RCA connectors on one side and replacing them with XLR connectors. They easily handle +4dB pro audio levels.
Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about RadioShack Ground Loop Isolator: When I plugged my laptop input into my 6 channel mixer to record, then plugged in the laptop power supply I randomly would get lots of noise and staic. It would go away if I unplugged the power supply so I figured there was stray power runing in the cables due to different gounding methods of the equipment. This instantly got rid of of any unwanted noise with everything plugged in and running.

Comments about RadioShack Ground Loop Isolator: Had intermittent cycle hum from PC connected to my receiver. Used lots of kludges, including extension cords to put PC and receiver on same circuit. Hum mysteriously returned recently. Isolator eliminated the problem INSTANTLY.

Best Uses Comments about RadioShack Ground Loop Isolator: This cable was being used to eliminate a ground loop between my DAC and amp, and that it did. It also eliminated any bass extension and bass volume. It turned my system into a cheap pair of five dollar headphones. All issues were immediately remedied after going back to a conventional RCA cable. I guess I'll deal with the ground loop for a while longer.

Comments about RadioShack Ground Loop Isolator: Had a Russound A-Bus distributed audio to 4 zones in my house. 2 of the zones have a local audo switch that will switch to the local TV if it senses audio input. Both of these zones were picking up a ground loop hum for years that you could hear even if the local zone amp was off. One day I decided to slowly unscrew the cable connector from the wall for the TV and noticed at some point the noise went completely away while still seeing the TV signal. You can't keep it this way as you have now broken the ground and will then pick up other interference on the TV. I then installed this device and problem gone. No performance issues with the sound either.
