Comments about Uniden® BCT15X Analog TrunkTracker III Mobile Scanner:

As a volunteer Junior Fire Fighter, this radio is the best! I pick up to close to 400 Miles with the Solarcom A99 Antenna, and streams to Radio Reference like a dream. However, without the programming cable and FreeScan, you cannot use it since it is trouble programming. Get this radio and you won tbe mad!

I love this scanner! It may take a little bit to learn how to program. But with a good FREE programming software it's great! Picks up low frequencies that others don't like CB. Mounted it in my car and use it everyday!

Comments about Uniden® BCT15X Analog TrunkTracker III Mobile Scanner:

This is very difficult to program without software you can download. It does not decode P25 digital signals (analog only like description says). Got a great deal on it, but since I didn't do my homework on it, it's just a bookshelf placeholder now. Useless to me so far. Manual is terrible, a 'supposedly' easy to read manual didn't help any at all.

      Pros

        Cons

        • Hopelessly Complicated
        • Terrible Disk Only Manual
        • Worst User Interface Ever

        Best Uses

Comments about Uniden® BCT15X Analog TrunkTracker III Mobile Scanner:

I have been around shortwaves and scanners for 20+ years. Without doubt, this is the most difficult, complicated radio I have ever owned. Documentation is horrible, interface is strictly for aliens. May be a great radio, but it's absolutely inpeneterable. Do not even think about buying one.
