My last headphones were from RadioShack as well. They were noise canceling and required a battery, which was conveniently placed right in the middle of the permanently attached cord.

These headphones are not advertised as noise cancelling, but really, they do just that. Even at the lowest available volume on my phone, I cannot understand what someone standing next to me is saying. Not being noise canceling means that there is no battery to get in the way all the time, which is such an improvement from my last headphones.

Overall, these headphones even rival my father's Bose headphones, which I'm sure easily cost twice what these do.

I purchased the Auvio Elite because I wanted an extra set of decent headphones. Well decent is an understatement ... For the price these headphones are off the charts. The sound is great, the design is sleet and handsome, the built is solid and they feel and fit nicely. These may be the most under rated headphones on the market. I have a pair of Sennheiser HD 515 and the Auvio Elite is right up there in quality and sound. In some ways it's even better than my Sennheisers, considering the less bulky cans, their foldable and has the perfect cord length ... which is detachable and replaceable. Sound is about equal in my opinion.

I'm not a teenager nor in my 20's, therefore when I shop for headphones I don't go for the brightly colored trendy Headphones on the market tagged with the sky rocket prices. The Auvio Elite is a professional looking headphone which fits my taste. Definitely for the more mature music lover who appreciates quality sound.

Use this to listen to music on my various devices. Not good for studio work or recording applicatons, because it's like the beats in that it has some sound shaping built into them, but it makes your MP3s sound fantastic. Far better than the beats in sound (even over the studio beats) and great comfort. Listened to them on an eight hour plane ride to test them out as hard as I could, was comfy the whole way there and sounded crisp, clear, and soulful.

I listen to Jazz, Classical, Blues, and most of all, Heavy Metal.

So much better than the other "name" brands where you are paying a heck of a lot more just for a name on your headphones and not the quality of sound. You want quality, you want Auvio Elite. Enough said.
