Comments about Nexa Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer w/ Barometer:

I bought this unit for the purpose of knowing the outdoor humidity during the summer and indoor humidity during the winter.

I like the colored display and the fact it has an outdoor monitor.

Big problem--I had to mount the outside monitor about 15 feet from the base unit in a tree through a window. Any farther away and the outside display drops out. For 433 mhz, where this unit transmits, a simple screw-in antenna would have increased the range significantly. Also, during periods of rain and high humidity, the reading drops out until a day or so after the humidity decreases.

For me this was purchased as a simple, generic monitor, and it works well for that. For better results, be willing to pay $50.00-$100.00.

I like the look of the display. I am using the adaptor not batteries. The in/out temps and humidity readings are close to accurate. I need online directions because the weather icon displayed is absolutely wrong. Right now it is overcast and drizzling. The weather picture shows bright sun.

Comments about Nexa Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer w/ Barometer:

I asked for a weather station for my birthday. I like this one. I don't worry about humidity % below 20% because I live in the humid South. The only con I have is you have to use a tiny screw driver to remove the back of the remote unit. That's a pain. It was a little tricky to set up, but after that was ok. It shows both temps in and out at the same time. I gave it 4 stars because of the difficulty in change the batteries. We'll see how long they last. I like the graphics and the color.

Comments about Nexa Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer w/ Barometer:

This unit is a complete and total disaster. I have been trying to get the temperature and humidity inside and out. The only thing I get from outside, when I am not seeing an HH in the temperature line is the temperature. Remote never gives me the humidity. No manual on-line.
The base display is actually nice but without the input from the remote this unit is very disappointing. Stay away from it.

Comments about Nexa Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer w/ Barometer:

I bought this for my upstairs to monitor temperature and humidity. I live in Arizona which is arid. I got home to realize that the humidity isn't measured at less than 20% and displays LL as a result. It is good to know the indoor humidity, especially in the winter; so its not a complete loss for me.
With monsoon season coming, I was looking forward to monitoring the barometric readings and the humidity changes so I can get a "heads up" prior to a storm without having to monitor the Doppler sites; I am not sure this unit will serve that purpose.
The other big let down and why I chose this particular until was that with all the batteries required, I was excited that I could use this without adding yet another wire to my desk and to be able to bring it into my bedroom at night. It must be plugged in or as the other users have mentioned, it will only illuminate for about 10 seconds at the touch of a button.
Given that the projection clock model offers the barometer and this unit isn't wireless, I may return it and upgrade to the projection clock.
Given that, for someone that truly wants to know just the temperature and humidity and doesn't mind the plug; this unit is very nice looking compared to any other I have seen; I love the color display and it is bright!

Readings inaccurate.Interuption of AC power (despite batteries in base unit) requires remote sensor to be taken down, cover removed and reset. Directions do not enable unit to be set to perform as advertised. Complete waste of money. Now comes the really hard part, getting money back.

Comments about Nexa Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer w/ Barometer:

I started using this in January and very soon, the main unit started losing the signal from the remote sensor. I tried moving the sensor closer to the main unit but that did not help unless I moved the sensor with 10 feet of the main unit. I have a less expensive wireless thermometer from another manufacturer that works great even though there is not a direct line of sight between the remote sensor and the main unit. Radio Shack should stop selling this product. It has only a 90 day warranty which in my case has expired so I am out of luck.

Comments about Nexa Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer w/ Barometer:

This unit is not completely wireless. The pretty display must be plugged in if you want the reading to stay lit at all times. When running on battery, the unit only stays lit for about 10 seconds after you hit the "light" button on the bottom. Afterward, the unit sits on the counter with a dark screen and you must walk over to it and hit the "light" button to read it. I would prefer being able to operate it on batteries and have less color on the screen and a constant view of the indoor/outddor temperatures. Not sure I want to keep it because the base unit should be plugged in. In addition to the numerical display of temperatures, it also has unnecessary lit bars to show the temperature--unit could have been much shorter if that feature were eliminated.

Have same model number but it has humidity instead of Barometer. Humidity reading very inaccurate. Took one back. Second one was slightly better. Has Min\Max reading but manual does not say if that is the min\max for the last 24 hours, since midnight or since you turned it on.
